Physical Therapy Evaluation

At our first appointment, we will discuss any of your concerns and a full medical history document is a requirement. I will observe and evaluate your child’s motor skills as well as development based on his age. Meanwhile, I will be identifying any difficulties the child faces or areas that need my assistance and take measurements in order to establish a baseline we can track his progress. Actually, it is an assessment of your child’s mobility, posture, strength, balance, coordination and overall function. By the end of it, we will discuss findings and we will make a plan for follow-up care and assistance if necessary. Parents will always leave sessions with feedback and interactive activities you can do at home during the week, in-between appointments. Mainly, with collaboration we’ll come up with a plan of care. We’ll work together on creating a personalized plan of necessary as well as fun activities aiming to develop his gross motor skills.
